A key challenge in this apartment renovation was that all plumbing points had to remain in their existing locations. This restriction meant that we couldn’t relocate toilets, sinks, or showers, even when we felt that an alternative layout might unlock greater spatial potential.

To address this limitation, we chose to emphasise the inherent strengths of each room. By extending the checkered tile motif (originally seen in the Kitchen) throughout the spaces, we created a strong visual focus that draws the eye to the finishes rather than the fixed plumbing elements.
