Positioned between the escarpment and the ocean, this bright family home draws its character from the surrounding landscape. Commissioned to deliver a full furniture curation, Birdblack Design established a layered interior that feels both cohesive and deeply connected to place.
A refined blend of mid-century influence and coastal ease informs the palette: balancing warmth, texture, and restraint.
Within the existing layout, the living space was reimagined to offer both comfort and presence: welcoming on arrival, yet relaxed in everyday use. A collection of movable seating elements introduces flexibility, allowing the space to shift effortlessly between entertaining and daily life.

Designed as a foundation for living, the home supports a rhythm of connection, memory, and life by the sea.
Repeat clients returned to us once again, this time to transform their exterior space. We designed and created a relaxed haven for them to enjoy at home, located just across the road from the beach. The space features a large custom concrete dining table, generous and comfortable seating for entertaining, and an outdoor gas fireplace to ensure the area can be enjoyed during the cooler months.
