The brief for this project was to honour and celebrate the homeowner’s Sri Lankan heritage while creating a home that reflects their love for artistic, eclectic, and sculptural design. Our client is drawn to spaces that feel layered and expressive—far from a standard, minimalist interior.
Throughout the home, every space was thoughtfully refinished—whether through new flooring, custom lighting, fresh paint, or wallpaper. Each room was designed with a unique highlight. Colour and texture play an integral role in the overall design.
Furniture selection was the final layer in bringing this richly textured home to life, carefully curated to reflect the personality and story of each space. Every room is distinct, a thoughtful blend of styles, materials, and finishes results in an eclectic yet cohesive aesthetic. Custom fabrics, paired with carefully chosen patterns, add warmth and character, creating a dynamic visual experience throughout the home.
In each room, bold colours and textures were intentionally layered to add depth and interest, without overpowering the overall design. The balance of vibrant hues, soft neutrals, and contrasting materials ensures harmony, allowing the eye to wander without feeling overwhelmed.
The result is a home that feels curated, collected, and deeply personal, where every element plays a role in weaving a story of bold creativity and timeless style. No single detail was left to chance, and the layers of design invite discovery and appreciation with every visit.
