The existing kitchen was literally falling apart and in need of a strip down and facelift! The old dishwasher was propped up on bricks and the cupboard doors where hanging on by a thread. The location of the kitchen however was perfect, being at the front of the house and surrounded by natural light overlooking the lush gardens. There was an even smaller unusable laundry next door. By removing the adjoining wall we were able to create a large open plan kitchen. The laundry was then relocated within the full height timber cupboards shown.

The kitchen works functionally with generous walkthrough space around the island bench and integrated solid walnut dining table. Along with storage solutions and adequate benchspace we have managed to make full use of the window overlooking the garden with another floating walnut breakfast bar.

The finishes are the real highlight of this space. Natural textures and layers are abundant throughout. The dark emerald green cabinets teamed with crisp white, walnut timber and green marble splashback are a modern combination that complements this beautiful coastal home.
