This harbourfront home was originally designed by the esteemed Australian architect, Glenn MurcuttBirdblack Design were engaged to renovate the home. Recognising the structural brilliance, we paid tribute to the original design, choosing to reflect the beauty Glenn Murcutt had instilled.

When working with such spectacular structure, it was imperative to show restraint with selections: soft colours and materials, allowing the sculptural elements of the home to be their own WOW factors. Stunning oak timber is featured within both the cabinetry and the flooring, brushed nickel is utilised in the tapware and subtle terrazzo adds variation to the paired back selections.

Birdblack Design brought the modern component of the 21st century to the home, bringing new life to the Kitchen, the Butler’s Pantry, the Master Suite and Ensuite, as well as the Guest Powder Room.

We honoured the curvatures of the home throughout our designs, in particular the Kitchen Island and the Master Ensuite’s vanity mirror. Enjoy perusing this amazing home!
