Our client is of Sri Lankan heritage, a wonderfully creative and eclectic character, ready to push the boundaries and have her pokey Ensuite transformed into a Birdblack Design haven.
Greeted with a terracotta herringbone floor, you step in and immediately are wowed with the multiple features. The custom vanity with terracotta concrete benchtop matches the floor, creating slabs of colour against the undulated white Zellige wall tiles. These tiles dance under the light, bringing texture to the walls. The dark zebra-striped timber veneer with amber highlights, create more variation aesthetically.
Atop this vanity, is an artwork basin by the well-known Melbourne Pottery Studio, Robert Gordon. Hand-painted with very individualised brush strokes, this basin is mesmerising. The mirrored cabinets are a functional storage solution: a pre-requisite by the client.
Within the wall-to-wall shower, a custom arch niche was created in the shower – something different for this client! Recessing the LED strip light, provides a very soft glow, with a very functional space for your soaps, shampoos and conditioners.
Bronze tapware and accessories finalise the space.
