This Main Bathroom was tired, lacking personality and style: fitted with square terracotta floor tiles, paired with basic white wall tiles and seashell tile borders. With so much potential, Birdblack Design was excited to bring this space to life.

To start the visual transformation, let us introduce you to the soft blue-coloured fan shaped tiles that cover the wall behind the vanity and toilet. Each tile has a subtle crackled glaze on the surface, adding a textural element to the space. These tiles become the perfect backdrop for our custom-made solid American oak vanity. This vanity is designed with functional drawers as well as a shelf for styling towels. Above the vanity, we installed even more storage with semi-recess mirror cabinetry. The cabinetry extends along the entire wall, making use of every inch of space. We adore aesthetically pleasing functionality!

To maximise space, we maintained the plumbing and window positions in relatively the same locations. We installed a frameless shower with a hinged-opening door. This space was fitted with a twin shower which features a large overhead shower along with a hand shower. The shower floor was tiled in a matte grey penny tile mosaic, this was utilised as it allows the drainage to be less visible as well as being tactile underfoot.

We replaced the existing inset bath with a stunning freestanding bath, accompanied with a floor-mounted bath mixer.
