The combination of old, tired and outdated as well as corroded plumbing causing major damage meant the ‘Edward Residence’ was in desperate need of a contemporary Bathroom renovation. We were able to maintain the locations of the plumbing, reducing the costs of this particular project.

The showstopper in this Bathroom is most definitely the ledge tile which instantly captures attention upon entrance into the space.

This tile is a recycled glass mosaic tile. At first glance, this tile looks like suede. A tile that looks like material? Fascinating!  This wall to wall ledge is the perfect location for storing bath products and displaying candles, greenery and knick knacks. This wall to wall ledge also houses the cistern for the toilet. This toilet is very minimal and clean lined: perfectly designed to not draw too much attention.
A custom wall-hung vanity features a semi-inset basin and bench mount mixer, all sitting above a subtle manmade stone benchtop. This combo again allows the ledge tile to steal the show.

The wall and floor tiles are simplistic in nature and pattern and complement the ledge tile beautifully. Walnut timber laminate adds warmth and texture to the interior. The laminate features on the vanity and also the cupboards above the toilet.

Birdblack Design is passionate about utilising every inch of space. Therefore we installed semi-recessed cabinetry. The mirror cabinetry above the vanity is complete with GPO’s for all the essentials: electric tooth brush, hair straightener, electric shaver.

The twin shower features both an overhead shower and wall shower with a frameless glass shower screen. The wall shower is very handy when cleaning the shower!

On the days where a shower just isn’t sufficient, our clients can indulge in a beautiful freestanding slipper bath, with a floor-mount bath filler adding a sculptural element, it is the perfect place for relaxation.

Downlights and classic polished chrome accessories complete the aesthetic.
